Site Location
Fort Riley is located in parts of Riley and Geary counties in north-central Kansas. More specifically, the installation is located 55 miles west of Topeka at mile marker 301 on Interstate 70.

Fort Riley training and maneuver lands are located north of the interstate. Urban areas near Fort Riley include Junction City on the southwest post boundary and Manhattan 12 miles to east. The Kansas and Republican Rivers border the installation on the South. The tract of land for the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Riley is located along the west side of Riley County 420 (Wildcat Creek Road), west of the Manhattan Regional Airport.
Fort Riley Cemetery Facility
The facility includes an administration building, maintenance building, storage building, committal shelter, flag plaza, burial spaces with pre-set double depth crypts, above ground columbarium walls with niches and a
scattering garden.
