Cemetery Program Director

Kafer PeeleIn June 2001, Kafer Peele was selected as the Veteran Service Representative for the Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs Central Office. On April 17, 2002, Kafer Peele was hired as the new State Cemetery Program Director for the KCVA.

Mr. Peele was born in Lexington, North Carolina and was raised in a small coastal town on the eastern seaboard. He graduated from West Carteret High School in 1984. After graduation he worked for a small land surveying and engineering firm on the coastal waters for three years. In December 1987, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served two tours and was honorably discharged in December 1994. During his tours he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Bamberg, Germany; and Fort Riley, Kansas.

In 1996, using his G.I. Bill, Mr. Peele attended Cloud County Community College to work on his associate degree in General Studies. He transferred to Emporia State University in December 1998 and graduated in December 2000 with Bachelor of Science degree in History, a Minor in Political Science, and in 2007 he received a Masters in Business Administration from Baker University.
