Location
The Kansas Veterans' Home is located in Winfield, Kansas. This community has a population of approximately 12,000 and is located 35 miles southeast of Wichita, Kansas. Friendly people are one of the community’s greatest assets. Winfield has a growing business community and excellent schools, including Southwestern College.

In 1993, Winfield was voted one of the top 100 small cities in the nation. Winfield is home to many points of interest including Memorial Park located at East Ninth and Fuller Streets, just east of the Cowley County Courthouse. This beautiful park includes a Viet Nam War Memorial, which was constructed as replica of the Wall at Washington D. C. The memorial is engraved with the names of 777 servicemen and women from the State of Kansas who were killed or missing in action during the Viet Nam War. The Winfield High School Class of 1963 sponsored this memorial. Memorial Park also includes memorials to veterans of World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Prisoners of War, and for female veterans.

South on Interstate 35 to the Wellington Exit
Proceed East on Highway 160 to Winfield
Arrive in Winfield and continue on through Winfield going East on 160 to Viking Blvd.
Turn Left and proceed North on Viking Blvd. approximately 1 mile to the Kansas Veterans’ Home Campus
